The armrests are channel stitched in vertical flutes, so your palm meets a rounded, well filled edge when you let your arm drop. The terracotta upholstery has a visible weave and a matte face that darkens and lightens as the light moves across it. Running around the lower body, the wave carved solid wood band begins on the outer face of each arm and continues across the front in a rippling rhythm, gathering all that softness within one clear boundary. Honey toned and polished, the grain grows more pronounced in the hollows and crests of the carving. Short tapered legs lift the volume off the floor and keep it from reading heavy.
