Atrani's lines are straight and quiet; what gives the set its character is the cane texture on its sides. Cane panels fitted into the sides of the backrests on the sofa and armchairs form a woven, lightweight surface instead of a closed wooden one. The armrests run straight and level with softened corners at the front, while the rear legs angle backward. The honey-toned wood and the pale grey cushions together create a bright, open palette. Button tufting runs across the backrest cushions, and rectangular lumbar pillows line the sofa. The rectangular coffee table repeats the same idea: the leg frames at each end hold cane panels with rounded corners, and a lower rail connects the two ends. The slatted top is covered with glass. It sets up the same airy arrangement on a terrace, in a garden or on an enclosed balcony.
