The outer ring of the top is built from broad wood segments joined at mitred corners, and the meander border repeating along them was set into the timber piece by piece. The interlocking key belongs to an ornament tradition running from the Mediterranean through Anatolia, and it steps around the circle so the eye keeps moving. Against the reddish honey colour and rolling grain, the pale silver tone of the inlay reads as a finely drawn line echoing the chrome below. The centre is left deliberately open: a disc of clear glass drops into the wooden ring and turns the ornament into a frame around empty space. Through the pane, three thick legs carved as long hollowed leaves meet the glass under polished chrome caps, gathering at the top and splaying outward to the floor. The rim is thick and fully rounded, and a high gloss finish deepens the figure of the wood. Set in the middle of a seating group, the border keeps the same rhythm from every side, so the table has no front and no back.
