At a crowded table the weight is shared between the table and the chairs. The wide rectangular top of this set keeps the live edge of the walnut as it was; the natural voids in the grain are filled with dark, almost black epoxy resin, which sharpens the shift from honey tones into deep brown. The top rests on a gold-bronze metal base that branches organically and opens out like a lattice. Some of the seating has a solid wood body with a curved, leaf-like ring for a back and a seat upholstered in patterned cream or black fabric. Beside them are versions worked entirely in wood: a broad, gently curved back panel sits above a seat hollowed like a saddle, with a crescent-shaped opening between the two. Legs are square in section, taper toward the floor and continue upward at the front to complete the side frame, while on the armchair a single arc springs from the front leg and curves back to the panel. Used together, the forms with arms and without set a quiet order along a long table.
