It is hard to say where the wood begins here: the band wraps the base, rises at the sides, reaches forward as an armrest and then sweeps back to become the backrest in a single move. Honey and dark cocoa tones run through the walnut grain along that whole length, while the block joints show how precisely the pieces were aligned to read as one body. The back widens into a broad wing and thins again at its edges, and the arms hover above the seat with an open gap beneath them that lightens the generous volume. The cushion is one soft block in mink-toned, suede-textured upholstery, interrupted only by the single seam that travels around it. Fustin turns quietly on a mechanism hidden in the base, so it joins the conversation you face instead of standing still like an object on display. Wherever it lands in a room, the first thing the eye follows is the curve of that turning line.
