Under the high-gloss polish the walnut reads like a map, running from pale cream sapwood into deep chocolate grain, while the clear resin margins turn the surface into a glassy frame that reveals the structure below. No two logs split the same way, so this pattern cannot be produced twice. The golden metal underneath is an open lattice that branches like a root network, holding the weight without looking heavy and keeping the thick slab suspended. Six chairs answer it in solid timber, each back shaped as a single curved loop that leaves the frame open, and all six seats wear the same cream textured upholstery. What stays with you is one material in two states: raw edge on one side, mirror surface on the other.
