This chair does not stand on legs at all. Thick, round-sectioned natural wood arms start at the height of the back, flow forward into armrests and then bend down to the floor, where each ends in a forward-curling hook, while the same frame returns to the ground behind in a matching pair of arcs. The body looks as though it were resting on a drawn bow. That wood is honey brown with a rippled figure, polished until light travels across it as a soft reflection rather than a hard shine. Against the warmth, the navy leather reads deep and almost lacquered: it wraps back and inner arms as a single shell bounded by a fine welt, while a separate welted cushion rests on a wooden rail below. The backrest lifts into a low crest and falls away toward the arms on either side; from behind, the shell stays closed and smooth, so the piece never needs a wall. The same body is also offered in cream and red leather. Left alone beside a fireplace, it holds the corner on the strength of its own curve.
